They're Here

The munchkins have arrived...and camp is all a flutter! We have the little ones with us for a great week this week. I guess it is tradition that on Sundays, it rains....hmmmm. Well, at least it wasn't raining allll day. Just most of it :) Other than that, things are going well. I went for a chilly swim this evening with the some of the high school crew girls. Fun! Yet very cold as we dashed out of the pool towards our warm cabins.
Well, i guess i should answer some questions that have been popping up in some comments made throughout our blogs. This is the best way that i know how to reply right now. Pam~ thanks so much for writing to us! The group of kids on the "big rock" are the high schoolers that Joe is responsible for and we do work with them every day. I work with the girls in the kitchen and am starting to form friendships there. Joe is planning on leading the guys in a bible study every day of the week, and looks forward to sharing God's truths with them there. And yes, even though it looks quite daunting, our little cabin is just big enough to fit the both of us :) And i mean just. We will have to take some pics from the inside to show you all :)

Last night was pretty amazing. We took a group of counselors to the Natural Bridge (part of Gallatin natl. forest) about 20 minutes north of camp and we hiked around the huge 100 foot cliffs until we found a good spot to go rock climbing! It was totally sweet! The cliff we climbed was only around 30-40 ft, but still pretty amazing. We had all the equipment we needed, and just took turns belaying each other up as we scaled the wall. There was a huge waterfall plunging down into the canyon behind us. Whew, it was breathtaking. We are definitely going again sometime. Joe and I also purchased our fishing licenses the other day during our trip to Billings, so we are excited to find some time to mosy on down the river and fish! We found a pretty cool spot where beavers have dammed up the river a bit, and the fish are abundant, eating all the bugs off the surface! So we shall see...

the night is getting late. I should probably go. We have to be in the kitchen by 6:00 am.....tommorow is pancakes and sausage. Yum!!

glad you wrote me! the only reason i have time to write is because i don't have a job yet and probably won't until the Fall. haha. i know ya'll probably will have limited time to visit, but the moment you find that you can get away--just let us know...no pressure now. Thanks for your condolences for Peaches. She was quite the trooper for Chris and I to be able to drag her around, wrap her in blankets, throw her birthday parties, etc...hahaha. anyway, talk to ya later--save me some pancakes! ;)
