yeehaw!

Andrew climbed onto the horse today, and started making his gun sounds...so I shouted "Oh, Andrew, you need your toy gun!  Like a cowboy!" and ran to get his gun.  He grinned.  Then as he is pretending to shoot into the air, I shout again, "oh, and you need your cowboy hat!  Stay right there, don't move!"  and I run to grab his hat.  Slide it on his head with camera in hand (b/c i know he won't leave it on for too long) and shoot this pic.  He grins some more, and rocks back and forth, saying "gnnn gnnn" which translates into his sound of guns shooting.  Oh what a funny boy...and funny mommy for that matter :)  I love you.

picture time

I grabbed my the camera and this cutie patootie the other morning to get a few shots of him at 18 months old.  The sunshine was a bit bright, which equaled a few squinty pics.  But he had fun going all over the place!

 One of my favorites

This shot is taken toward the end of the photo time.  Can you tell?  I can just imagine what is running through his head...

Andrew will leave you with his favorite words:  "Vroom Vroom!"

breakfast helper

Our tradition of special weekend breakfasts is living on strong.  And bubs here is all about watching and "helping".  Aka playing in the dish water.  He and dad do make a great pair though!

Planting the Community Garden

We actually planted the garden back in May, so these pics are a bit old, but still fun!  Andrew loved "helping" plant the garden.  And of course loved the tiller...all machines and things that "go" are fascinating to him right now.  I put old clothes on him, and its a good thing, too.  By the time we were done, he and Bryan were covered in dirt and mud.  But having a glorious time!

Here is a shot of the Manor house (on Heartland property, Traci and Adam live here) and the whole gang out tilling and planting the seeds that will produce a yummy harvest!  We all have been anticipating this garden with much excitement.  Hard to believe the time is here for planting!
Here is a pic of Traci, her son Kyle, and Betsy all planting a row of beans, I think.  We all agreed that doing a big garden with good friends is a great thing :)
As of now, most of everything has sprouted up and out of the ground.  What a great feeling to see these plants growing.  God is so good!  Now, if only the weeds didn't grow faster than the actual veggies!
Oops!  haha, Andrew's hat was flopping all over the place this day...what a fun experience to share with him, though!
Bryan in the Cozy Coupe, with zoey looking on and hoping for part of his goldfish snack :)
A final shot of the boys and men, working hard to get the ground ready for the plants!  Andrew carried around that plastic stake for a while, and I just know he was thinking that he was helping out!  How cute:)  I will hopefully get a few more pictures of the progress of our garden.  We planted ALOT!  Around 45 tomato plants, 35 pepper plants, 60 potato plants, and mounds and mounds of cucumber, watermelon, squash, and pumpkin to name a few.
What a blessing to share this with close friends!

Doggy Water

Well Andrew, we have found that simply giving you a water bucket and stick will keep you entertained for almost a 1/2 an hour.  How amazing is that!  You love the water, that is for sure.  But you aren't so sure when you get a piece of grass on your hands :)
Here mom, want to try?  Its pretty cool!

Itsa soa gooooda!

Andrew was having quite the time with his fettucini alfredo the other night, and just started blowing random kisses.  Well, then I began talking in an "Italian" voice, and we just had a good old time, blowing kisses and saying how yummy the spaghetti was!  He makes me laugh.  After this session, we promptly went to the tub!
