Dewart Lake Vacation!

Date night on the Dixie! We enjoyed a dinner at Pie-Eyed Petey's and then a trip around Webster Lake on the oldest working paddleboat in Indiana. That took us back to our beginning as a couple!!! Great memories :) We even drove to the spot where we had our very 1st date! It was on my 21st birthday, so pretty much 8 years ago, to the day! And I love you more than I did the day I married you, Joseph Michael!
What is a vacation at the lake with out a boat ride, and life jackets that are just a bit too big?
hehe...caught you enjoying the morning summer breeze, bubby-do. You love the water and rocks.
What do you see? A boat? A froggy? Daddy fishing? Look at those chubber cheeks...love.
Each morning at the cottage, we would try to go out and sit by the water and enjoy the stillness. This morning, we brewed some yummy coffee, and sat together. Trying to savor these moments, as they pass so quickly. But what an amazing opportunity to slow down and be a family together!
Pier at morning light..
Andrew, you love you wear your hats. This one makes you look like your papa. And that face...lately you have been trying out new expressions....we need to capture your "tooth-bearing" grin here soon...
Oh bubby...thanks for being so laid back and willing to do...just about anything. You loved your first boat ride with mommy and daddy. Grandpa's fishing boat was pretty great to ride around in! Thanks for the life jacket, grandma!
The boys..
We found a neat vintage Tonka jeep at a garage sale, and joe picked it up faster than I could blink! Andrew has taken to it, and for now, loves to chew on the spare tire. I trust that he will become interested in the rest of the truck as time goes on :)

Hopefully you like to wear jeans and sweatshirts as much as we do, Andrew
Wednesday night, we took Andrew out past his bedtime to enjoy some ice cream at Joe's Ice cream in Syracuse, and then visited Oakwood Center. Here is the exact spot where we said "I Do" 6 years ago!! Unfortunately, the hotel is no longer in service, but the area has been kept up due to the community. It was a bit surreal, but fun to bring Andrew to this spot, and think back on that special day when we decided to spend the rest of our lives together. Here's to many many more!
Haha...grinning while you eat your peas. You definitely know when the camera is out, now. Hammin' it up.
